Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why is my plan's premium different than last year?

Health insurance companies adjust the prices of their plans every year to reflect the cost of providing care. Additionally, premium prices are based on age and because you’re a year older, the price of your premium may change.

Health insurance companies may also make some modifications to the amounts you need to pay for different services, such as copayments and coinsurance, so it’s important to pay close attention to the information you receive from your health plan to see what’s changed. If you have specific questions about copayments, coinsurance, or what services are covered, you should contact your health plan (not DC Health Link).
