MAGI will be used to determine eligibility for most individuals who apply for Medicaid, including parents and caretaker relatives, children, pregnant women, and most adults under age 65. The ACA does not change Medicaid eligibility rules for beneficiaries who are 65 or older or those who are eligible for Medicaid based on disability.
