If I am terminating the plan I purchased, does my coverage have to end at the end of a month?

No, your coverage can end on any date, but you must make your request for termination no later than the day you would like to terminate your plan.

If you want to end your plan after it starts, login to your account at dchealthlink.com, or call DC Health Link at (855) 532-5465 / TTY: 711. This is called termination. You’ll also need to contact your insurance company directly to discuss any remaining balance or refund due.

If you get your health or dental insurance through an employer, you’ll need to make the request directly through your employer.
