Can I still enroll in an individual or family health plan for the remainder of 2017?

You can still enroll in a health plan for 2016 if you’ve recently experienced a qualifying life event such as losing your job-based coverage, getting married, having a baby and other special circumstances; however, time is limited. You only have 60 days from the date of the qualifying life event to enroll.

If you already have an account at DC Health Link:

  • Login to your account.
  • Select ‘Have Life Changes?’ and enter the information requested.
  • If you qualify, you’ll be able to continue with enrollment.

If you’re new to DC Health Link:

  • Create an account.
  • Enter your personal information and verify your identity.
  • You’ll be prompted to select from a list of life events. If you don’t see yours, continue scrolling through the list.
  • Enter the information requested.
  • If you qualify, you’ll be able to continue with enrollment.
