With only 11 days left before the health insurance deadline, DC Health Link (DCHL) and the faith community continue to push the “Faith in Action” movement to enroll District residents, small businesses and their employees in health insurance coverage. More than 100 faith based institutions and organizations in the District have partnered with DCHL to ensure that District consumers do not miss the March 31st deadline and are not subject to tax penalties.
At the DCHL faith based sponsored gospel concert and enrollment fair, “Artful Sounds of Faith” featuring nationally renowned gospel singer John P. Kee and the New Life Community Choir along with singer/songwriter Brittney Wright and other artists, DC Health Link certified in-person assisters and licensed health insurance brokers will be on-site to provide information, answer questions and enroll consumers in affordable health plans that meet their needs and budgets.
The evening, which is being produced by Rev. Mary Wilson, Co-pastor of Union Temple Baptist Church, will also feature the Howard University Gospel Choir, Geoffrey Golden of Fresh Encounter, Explicit Dance Works Liturgical Dance Ministry and others. Recent enrollees, in-person assisters and local leaders will speak intermittently throughout the program to urge enrollment 3 days before the deadline and to share information about the importance of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), health insurance and DC Health Link, the District’s online marketplace for health insurance.
For the checklist of items needed for completing enrollment, consumers can visit DCHealthLink.com/checklist or call the DC Health Link Call Center at (855) 532-5465; @dchealthlink; #EnrollDC; #soundsoffaith
