Join us for the DC Health Link 2024 Open Enrollment Community Day Kickoff & Health Fair on Saturday, November 4, 2023, 11:00 am, at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street, NW. District residents, small business owners and their employee will enjoy this midday family style festival to mark the opening of the DC Health Link health insurance marketplace, which begins November 1, 2023, and runs through January 31, 2024.

A brief ceremonial program will begin at 12 Noon to announce that the DC Health Link marketplace is open for business. Onsite enrollment in health plans to meet every need and budget will take place along with FREE health screenings, local entertainment, celebrity chef healthy cooking and health-wellness demonstrations, hip-hop freestyle dance exercise, children & family activities including games, and story book hour, branded giveaways and more. Refreshments will be provided by Ben’s Chili Bowl.

DC Health Link trained and certified Assisters along with DC Health Link certified brokers will be available to help residents navigate the web portal to enroll in coverage and answer questions about benefits and the enrollment process. After the event, DC Health Link Street Teams will fan out across the city to share information about the Affordable Care Act and the value and importance of health insurance. The volunteers will also participate in door-to-door canvassing in neighborhoods where the highly, most likely uninsured reside.

With insurance premiums as low as $13/month, thanks to President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, the Street Teams will encourage residents to enroll in high quality, affordable health insurance through DCHealthLink.com. FREE on the spot expert enrollment support will be made available. Residents who have lost Medicaid coverage will be encouraged to enroll in private health through DCHealthLink.com.
