The Grassroots Project

DC Health Link will participate in the Grassroots Project’s health fair/enrollment event at the Barry Farms Community Center in Southeast DC. Sponsored by the Office Intergovernmental and External Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services “The Grassroots Project” is an organization that serves at-risk youth from Washington DC around HIV/AIDS. They have recently become a partner in the HHS IEA youth coalition to contribute to the discussion around engaging young hard-to-reach families around health coverage. The health fair/enrollment event is designed to bring awareness to the community as well as provide a space where families and their children can come for possible health screenings and health insurance enrollment. DC Health Link certified assisters and brokers will provide information about quality affordable health insurance coverage through DC Health Link, and premium reductions.
