What do I do if I pay by credit card and my card has been stolen or cancelled or has an updated expiration date?

You’re responsible for paying your monthly premiums on time each month regardless of whether your credit card has been updated, cancelled, or stolen. Health and dental insurance companies can cancel or terminate your coverage if you don’t pay on time, and if that happens, you won’t be able to re-enroll into coverage without another special circumstance. As soon as you realize there may be a problem with your payment, contact your health insurance and/or dental insurance company. They will be able to tell you whether your coverage is still active, and your option(s) for paying so that you don’t lose your insurance coverage.
