COVID-19 Benefits Update

Dear DC Health Link Customer:

Today effective immediately, Acting Commissioner Karima Woods, Department of Insurance, Securities, and Banking issued an emergency order directing health insurance companies in the District of Columbia to provide certain services related to COVID-19. I want to make you aware of a few important changes to your benefits. You can see the updated summary chart for additional information:

NEW: The Commissioner is requiring health plans:

• to cover treatment for COVID-19 with no cost-sharing.
• to waive cost sharing for diagnosis, testing, and treatment for COVID-19 for out-of-network providers if there is an unreasonable delay for in-network providers.
